HOPE IN YAMASA: SOLIDARITY THAT TRANSFORMS LIVES

The Missionaries of Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic, a group of students of the "Santa MarĂa de la Altagracia" school, visited a community in the lower part of Yamasa.

It is a very poor area, with constructions in wood and zinc, where the heat is more intense. The source of income is the raising of pigs.

The unexpected visit of the missionaries was received with great joy. Thanks to the generosity of collaborators from the United States, they were able to distribute food, sweets and toys to the children. The community was very grateful; they really needed this providential help.

They found six siblings there, the youngest of which was 3 years old. They were left alone because their parents were deported to Haiti. They also need our help.

With this experience, the next visit to Yamasa is being scheduled. This time, to carry out a medical campaign so that people who do not have easy access to health care can benefit from it.
