During the month of May, the Second CEMTRO Medical Mission took place in Cusco, a day that brought together health professionals, volunteers and local personnel with the same objective: to bring medical care, training and hope to communities that are difficult to access.
From May 7 to May 17, a team of 22 volunteers from Clínica CEMTRO, together with medical missions and the Hermana Josefina Serrano Hospital, actively participated in medical campaigns, community outreach, and training sessions. These activities were carried out both in vulnerable communities—such as Occopata—and within the hospital, strengthening different areas of care.
During this mission, support was provided in specialties such as ultrasound, bandaging techniques, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), in addition to sharing knowledge and tools with healthcare staff and hospital students. The objective was not only to meet immediate needs but also to leave installed capacities that ensure continuity in daily medical care.
Beyond clinical consultations, this mission aimed to foster teamwork, mutual learning, and collaborative solidarity—essential elements in strengthening the local healthcare system.
PRODEIN Non-Profit accompanies and supports the missionaries, reaffirming its commitment to initiatives that promote more just, humane, and accessible healthcare, especially in regions where medical services are limited. Through this support, PRODEIN continues to promote actions that unite service, professionalism, and vocation.
We continue to combine efforts, experiences, and goodwill so that healthcare can reach those who need it most—with dignity, respect, and hope.
